There's been a whole lot of hustle and bustle with area businesses as Texas has started to re-open. There's been a slew of write ups done on job openings in the area and we don't want you to miss a thing. So we've put together a round-up of the job openings we've covered so far; we've also included a few fresh new postings to give you a little "oomph" in looking for places to apply.

Latest Job Opening Coverage

  • Sod Poodle Job Fairs - March 6th & 13th.  The Sod Poodles' are back for some baseball, and they'll need good workers to make the season happen. Two job fairs will be held at the Fairly Group Club Level on 3/6 & 3/13.
  • Wonderland Park Job Fair - March 5th. This amusement park is an Amarillo mainstay and they're hosting a job fair on Friday, March 5th. This is an excellent opportunity for teenagers looking for a first job, anyone looking for part-time second jobs for the summer, or something to keep themselves occupied. Wonderland employees will be available to answer questions and visit with prospective applicants. They'll be interviewing and hiring on-site, so appropriate attire is strongly encouraged.
  • TEXAS! The Musical - The insanely popular musical production that's held in Palo Duro Canyon State Park is gearing up for its seasonal run. They announced that they are now taking applications through their website for the box office, gift shop, and hospitality departments. The production schedule will run from May 29 through Aug 14, 2021.

  • Dyer's BBQ - This cherished family restaurant has been serving bbq to the Amarillo area for over 50 years. They are currently accepting applications for both back- and front-of-house positions. Apply in person at 1619 S Kentucky St E #526, Amarillo, TX 79102.

With Spring almost here and summer well on the way, there will be more and more employers putting out calls for applications and holding job fairs. One excellent resource for these hiring events is the snappy new hub, jobs.amarillo. Their website and social media pages are regularly updated and can easily turn up anything within your skillset.
