If you have no idea what a "Slingshot" is, you're not alone. They aren't something you see on the roads very often. If you have seen one, there's a good chance you have no idea what it is called. You probably also don't know how to get your hands on one.

You can now rent a Slingshot in Amarillo, and see the panhandle in style.

What is a Slingshot? It looks like a miniature version of a modern Batmobile. They look hi-tech, and sleek, and are a hybrid between motorcycles and automobiles. They have two seats, so there's plenty of room for you and your sidekick boy-wonder.

You might have honestly seen one and just had no idea what you were looking at. That's what happened to me. I had no idea that the little two-seat vehicle next to me at a stoplight was called a Slingshot. I imagined it having a name based on dinosaurs or something action-oriented.

The Slingshots that you can rent in Amarillo come in automatic and manual options. They can also be rented out for just a few hours, or you can take them out overnight. The prices can run a little steep, so I imagine riding is going to be a big portion of what you have planned.

The canyon would probably be a lot of fun in one of these little things. Even taking some of the less traveled roads outside of town would probably be pretty enjoyable.

You might just want to bundle up if you decide to want to take one in the immediate future. You can find out more by following this link to the Amarillo Slingshot Rentals website.
