Junior Reptile and Amphibian Keeper
Have a hoppin’ good time this week! We’ll explore the Herpetarium and learn all about the world of slimy and scaly creatures. See live snakes, lizards, turtles and even get your picture taken with a giant python!
Junior Carnivore Keeper
Be prepared for jaws and claws! Campers will learn all about tigers, lions and other Zoo meat eaters.
Junior Hoof Stock Keeper
A wild week of hooves and horns. Campers will learn how to care for bison, elk, donkeys, goats and other hoofed animals.
Junior Invertebrate Keeper
Even spiders and insects need special care. Campers will get an up-close look at the Zoo’s skeleton-free creatures. From tarantulas to millipedes, we’ll learn how to keep them healthy and thriving.

Extended Care: $25 before or after or $50 both

Cost: Admission to the museum
Each Monday, Wednesday and Friday beginning on June 9th, an PPHM education staff member will be available in People of the Plains, Art and Paleontology/Geology to discuss a different topic each week. People of the Plains will be the featured exhibit on Monday, Art on Wednesday and Paleontology/Geology on Friday. Programs will last about 15 minutes and staff will be in the galleries from 2-4 pm. Visitors will have the opportunity to complete an activity or craft to take home too!

Monday – Indian Trunk - Bear Claw Necklaces
Wednesday – Landscapes of the West – Wax resist watercolor paintings
Friday – Amarillo Mountains – Erosion and oil – Sand art
Week 2
Monday – Cowboy Trunk – Make your own brand
Wednesday – Western Animal Art – Use tissue paper to create texture
Friday – Animal Teeth – Carnivores vs. Herbivores – Create clay animal tooth necklaces
Week 3
Monday - Transportation – Plane, Train, Car
Wednesday - Wild About Animals – Wildlife Sketching
Friday – Climate and Camouflage – Play the camouflage game
