Better to be Prepared Potter County Sherriff’s Offer Training
It's not something that we like to think about. Heck in a perfect world we wouldn't have to. So here we are realizing in this crazy world we are better off being prepared. Potter County Sherriff's Office also agrees.
With the horrible news recently of mass shootings in our country, we have to think about what we would do in that situation. What would be the best course of action? Being prepared and knowing what to do could not be bad.
Luckily Amarillo has not had a situation where this has been needed but Potter County Sherriff's Office would rather us be safe than sorry. It would be better to know what to do during a mass shooting and never have to use it. We would hate to be in one of these situations and not have the training to fall back on.
That is why C.R.A.S.E. needed to be offered. Those letters stand for Civilian Response to Active Shooter Training Event. This training is set and ready for July 23rd from 10 am until 2 pm at the Potter County Sherriff's Office - 13103 NE 29th Ave in Amarillo.
The training is free for everyone and anyone interested in learning. Potter County Sheriff's wants everyone to be prepared for the worst-case scenario. This training will do that.
I know how Amarillo likes to wait until the last moment to sign up for things but I wouldn't do that in this situation. They can only offer this class if fifteen people sign up. So registering in advance is important. To do that make sure you call the Potter County's Sherriff's Office at 806-379-2900.
