Dallas Cowboys Sign RB Darren McFadden to Two-Year Deal
It didn't take the Dallas Cowboys very long to fill a hole that DeMarco Murray left when he signed with the Philadelphia Eagles, signing former Oakland Raiders, Darren McFadden to a two-year deal.
According to ESPN, the deal is worth up to $5.85 million and includes a $200,000 bonus.
McFadden, who shared the backfield in college with former Dallas Cowboys, Felix Jones, has had modest numbers since being drafted out of Arkansas in 2008 by the Raiders. In seven seasons, he has rushed for 4,247 yards on 1,038 carries and 25 touchdowns. He also caught 211 passes for 1,769 yards and five touchdowns, but he has had several injuries throughout his career. In fact, in 2014, he played all 16 games of the season for the first time in his career, rushing for 534 yards on 155 carries.
The Cowboys are hoping that McFadden will resurrect his career by running behind arguably the best offensive line in the NFL.
