Amarillo, Texas Shatters Century-Old February Weather Records
Amarillo, Texas, has done it once again. With all of the wild weather we've been having, you had to know it would break records. The most amazing part of the broken record is how long it had been standing before this week.
Amarillo, Texas Breaks A Winter Weather Record Over 100 Years Old
According to the National Weather Service Amarillo, this week's brutal temps broke the previously held records for lowest low and lowest high. February 19 was historically cold.
The record for the lowest high on February 19 was set almost 100 years ago. On that day the recorded high was a balmy 24 degrees. This year the warmest it got was 16 degrees.

In 1905, a record low of 3 degrees was set. This year, 120 years later, we finally beat the record with a low of 2 degrees. History is fine to read about. I'm not a big fan of living it. Especially when it's this cold.

I can't wait for it.
