Foodstock ’21: Six Days of Rock’n’Roll That’s Good For The Soul
A prominent Amarillo business has teamed up with a leading non-profit organization in an impressive fundraising effort.
The High Plains Food Bank recently made the official announcement that they have partnered with The Starlight Ranch Event Center to launch what they call Foodstock '21. This quirky spin-off of the infamous Woodstock music festival is promoted as "Six Days of Music and Food".
According to the press release from High Plains Food Bank, music lovers are encouraged to attend the event and "Enjoy rocking music and know that you're providing food and hope to the 1 in 6 neighbors, including 1 in 5 children, who currently face food insecurity."
The scheduled dates for these concerts are listed as:
- May 14 - Sons of Bocephus, America's Premier Tribute to Hank Williams
- May 28 - Rock & Roll Over, Tribute to KISS
- June 11 - Gunpowder and Lead, Miranda Lambert Tribute
- June 19 - Forever Mac, a Fleetwood Mac tribute
- June 25 - Escape, a Journey tribute
- July 9 - VHF, the Van Halen experience
These musical events will serve as a fundraiser for the High Plains Food Bank's ongoing efforts to address the issue of childhood hunger in the Texas Panhandle area. Each concert will be presented by one of the area's media groups. In order to ensure that all proceeds from Foodstock '21 will go directly to the nonprofit's relief efforts, the Starlight Ranch Event Center will underwrite the event costs.
Admission is a suggested donation of $10 or more per person per show.
