I-40 to Be Closed Overnight at Bell

If you travel I-40 at night be prepared for delays and detours.

UPDATE: TxDOT released this information for clarification.

I-40 will be closed this weekend during these times, Friday, Sept. 8 at 9 p.m. to Monday, Sept. 11 at 6 a.m.

Starting tonight at 9pm, all main lanes at I-40 will be shutdown at Bell.  I-40 will be closed down in that area until 5am.  The closures will take place 9pm -5pm each night through Monday, September 11th.  Traffic will be diverted to the frontage roads.

The closures will allow construction crews to hang bridge beams and place panels and overhang brackets.
