Amarillo Coffee Fans Are Buzzing Over This New Flavor

It seems every year, there is some kind of new coffee craze. Some of those crazes are recycled, some of them are brand new. One thing always holds true through it, though, and it's that Amarillo is ALL about trying out and being a part of new coffee crazes.

With the number of coffee shops we have in the city, it's likely to be a part of a new craze that sets in. Not every coffee shop will jump in, but the majority of them do. Well, there's a new craze upon us, and there's one coffee shop in town that ALWAYS gets in on a good trend.

Lavender: The New Coffee Craze

One of the biggest trends is trying different flavored syrups or infusions in coffee. We've seen so many different ones over the years, but this new one is off and running, and quite honestly, it perplexes me a bit.

Lavender-infused coffee is the latest craze, and people are flocking to it. Scooter's has introduced a line of lavender-infused drinks for those who want to hop all over it. Here's what I don't understand. Coffee is supposed to wake you up and give you energy, right? Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't lavender do the opposite for you? I thought that was supposed to relax you and help you sleep? Seems to be an odd pairing, but people are sucking it down.

Scooter's New 'Licious Lineup

On top of the lavender-infused drinks, Scooter's has dropped their new 'Licious Lineup, and these look totally my speed. Seven new drinks inside the lineup, and a few have my attention so much that I want to leave right now and jump all over some coffee.

Fudgelicious is the one that's got me drooling. A mocha and vanilla latte with a mocha drizzle that gets topped off with whipped cream and MORE mocha drizzle? Sign me up, like right now. A few others in the lineup are Caramelicious, Cinnalicious, and Turtle.
