Not Your Teen Prom: Why Mom Prom Is Amarillo’s Favorite Night Out

Picture this: it's a Saturday night in April here in Amarillo, with a group of women in bright-colored dresses, laughing on the dance floor. Women from all over have spent the day getting their hair done, nails done, makeup done, and putting on one of the prettiest dresses they have worn in a long time. It sounds like prom, doesn't it?

Well, it is, but it's not the prom you are thinking of. It's not an evening for high schoolers. It's an evening with some of the hardest-working women in the Texas Panhandle. It's an evening for moms. It's Mom Prom.

Why Mom Prom Feels Like a Tradition in Amarillo

The Mom Prom is an event that Amarillo women circle on their calendars every year, because it's an evening to get out, get dressed up, and have some fun away from motherly duties.

This ladies-only event has become quite the event in Amarillo, and it is not only a night out on the town. It benefits a great cause, Amarillo Angels.

This year's theme is Dream in Technicolor, so imagine the colorful dresses you'll see on the dance floor.

What Makes Mom Prom Different From Any Other Night Out

The Mom Prom will take place on Saturday, April 25th, at the Amarillo Civic Center North Exhibit Hall. But now's the time to get your tickets; in fact, now's the time to get your table. A table will fit eight of your friends, co-workers, sister, neighbors, or whatever lady in your life you choose to invite.

Tables of 8 are on sale now for $1000, but each of your table guests will experience a VIP Dinner and Happy Hour, one drink coupon, and full access to Mom Prom from 6 pm - 11 pm.  Reserve your table online here.

Don't worry if you aren't ready for a table yet; you can still purchase general admission tickets for this event. They will go on sale on March 2 at noon. They will be $60 each and will give you access to the event from 8 pm - 11 pm.
