What Happened to OfficeMax on Soncy Road?

We recently shared with you that OfficeMax was closing its store on Soncy Road. It is currently holding a going-out-of-business sale and liquidating its inventory. Well, we know what is going into the store, and for those who love a good wine or libation, you are going to love this new store.

Total Wine and More will be opening a store in Amarillo. According to the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation, renovations on the location at 2912 Soncy Road will begin in August with completion in November. The cost of the renovations is expected to be $775,000. This new liquor store will be over 23,000 square feet.

What is Total Wine and More?

Total Wine and More isn't just wine; it's a giant liquor store that carries wine, spirits, beer, and more. The company was founded in 1991 by David and Robert Trone in Delaware. Currently, there are over 293 stores across 30 states. Total Wine and More is the largest independently owned liquor store in the US.

The stores are huge and carry over 8,000 wines, 3,000 spirits, and 2,500 beers from all over the world.

Does Total Wine and More Give Back to the Community?

Total Wine and More is also one of those companies that supports charitable organizations in the markets where it operates.

We reached out to the company for more information about the Amarillo store, but had not received a response at the time of publication.

This will be a great addition to this location. It seems to be the hot spot with all the new businesses moving in. Marshalls is opening down the way, and a new Bath and Body Works store is coming soon.

If you're curious about Total Wine and More, they are now in their Grand Opening phase in Lubbock. The Lubbock store opened on May 21 and is located in Canyon West at 6038 Marsha Sharp Fwy W. Ste. 100.
