When Casey's officially opened in Amarillo on Friday, February 20, they brought the breakfast pizza. I told my husband we had to try that for breakfast one weekend, and we did.
Casey’s Breakfast Pizza Review in Amarillo
I hopped on the Casey's app and signed up for a rewards account. I mean, why wouldn’t you sign up to earn rewards, especially if the pizza is as good as everyone says?
I chose the build-your-own breakfast pizza because one of us loves bacon and the other prefers sausage. So we ordered a half-and-half breakfast pizza. I scheduled a time for pickup, and then my husband went to Casey's to pick it up.
He said it was a quick and easy pickup. When he got it back to the house, it was still hot. I grabbed my first slice from the sausage side, and OH MY GOSH, the hype was true. This breakfast pizza was a piece of heaven.
The base was a delicious crust topped with cheese sauce, eggs, sausage, and even more cheese. The sausage was perfectly seasoned and had a delicious flavor. The bacon was a little salty, but bacon is salty, and overall, the breakfast pizza was amazing. I wholeheartedly believe it is the cheese sauce that makes the pizza. It is so good.
Is Casey’s Breakfast Pizza Worth the Price?
A large breakfast pizza with 12 slices cost $17.99 plus tax, and it was worth every penny. This was a great breakfast. Everyone in the house loved it, and we had leftovers, so we had breakfast on Sunday as well. Oh, and if you don’t want to make the drive, they deliver.
What Is on Casey’s Breakfast Pizza?
Bacon and sausage aren’t the only choices. You can also go veggie, choose chorizo, or swap the cheese sauce for sausage gravy. I'll try those down the road, but for now, the Breakfast Pizza from Casey's will be at the top of my list when we want a fun breakfast.
Are More Casey’s Locations Coming to Amarillo?
This is the first Casey’s in the Texas Panhandle. The next location will open in Claude, also in a former Cefco building. Plus, according to PRAD, Casey’s owns land at Bell and Loop 335, so we will probably see another location in that area soon.
