Merle Norman on Soncy has been an Amarillo staple for over five decades. The owner, Evelyn Van Deventer, has kept this business running with expert beauty advice and great customer service.
This Merle Norman store has been open for 28 years at 2812 Soncy Rd. Before moving to Soncy, the store called Westgate Mall home for 16 years. Writer's Note: I had my ears pierced at their mall location. I did pass out on them, but that's what I do when getting my ears pierced.
Why Merle Norman on Soncy Is Moving
However, the store will be moving to a new location soon. Not long ago, we shared with you that Bath and Body Works was opening a standalone store outside of Westgate Mall. This location is the same as Merle Norman's currently locaiton, 2812 Soncy Rd. According to Facebook comments on that post, a family member stated that the owners of the building would not extend Van Deventer's lease.
