New Casey’s Location Planned for Amarillo’s Bell Street

Amarillo is a great city for convenience, and the Yellow City is packed with some pretty amazing convenience stores.

In November 2024, 148 Cefco stores were sold to Casey's General Store. Casey's General Store opened its first local store between Amarillo and Canyon on February 20.

New Casey’s Amarillo Location Planned for Bell Street

Now that one store is open, Casey's is moving forward with their next Amarillo store. The next location making the switch is the Cefco at 1917 Bell Street.

What’s Changing at the Bell Street Casey’s in Amarillo

According to the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation, construction is set to begin in July. Construction will include an interior remodel, new walk-in coolers, kitchen upgrades, ADA improvements, roof DOAS, and related MEP work.

According to a Casey’s spokesperson, the Bell Street location is tentatively scheduled to reopen as Casey’s in August.

Amarillo will also be getting a brand new Casey’s General Store built from the ground up at Loop 335 and Bell. A Casey’s spokesperson says the location is still in the permitting process, with more details expected soon. Claude’s Cefco store is also currently being converted into a Casey’s General Store.
