
Amarillo’s Convenience Store Boom Continues With RaceTrac
The one thing Amarillo will never have enough of is restaurants, coffee shops, and convenience stores. You'll find one of these on just about every corner in the city. However, when Toot 'n Totum and Pak-A-Sak were the main convenience store choices in the past, that has slowly started to change. Many new convenience stores have opened in the Yellow City over the last few years.
Amarillo Convenience Store Boom
QuikTrip is a new addition to Amarillo's convenience store scene. Circle K has made a comeback in Amarillo and continues to grow. Of course, who could forget the Texas staple that is Buc-ee's, which has captured the hearts of tourists and residents alike.

However, the convenience store boom isn't stopping, and another new convenience store is coming to Amarillo.
RaceTrac is Opening in Amarillo
It's time to welcome RaceTrac to the family of Amarillo convenience stores.
According to the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation, RaceTrac will be building a store in Amarillo at 1805 Lakeside Dr. The project is scheduled to begin in June and be completed by October. The estimated cost of the new RaceTrac is $1.5 million. The store size is 8,702 sq. ft.

RaceTrac History: From Missouri to Texas
RaceTrac got its start in 1934 as the Carl Bolch Trackside Station in Missouri. In 1975, the company expanded to the DFW area in Texas. The company was rebranded to RaceTrac in 1979. RaceTrac has over 600 stores and operates in 14 states.
