One of the great things about summer is the farmers and crafters markets. The Amarillo area has many to choose from, and they are a must-visit every weekend.

The thing about these markets is that they are usually open from June until the end of September.

Why Sunset Marketown Has Become an Amarillo Favorite

One of the great farmers and crafters markets is Sunset Marketown. This is the market that replaced the Amarillo Market a few years ago. Sunset Marketown has merged with the Golden Spread Farmers Market to bring you so many great vendors and options.

Since most of the crops don't really start producing until July, there hasn't been a large selection of produce, but that's all about to change.

Sunset Marketown is open every Saturday from 8 am to 12 pm at Arts in the Sunset, 3701 Plains Blvd at the AJ Swope Plaza. Vendors selling everything from jewelry to jams to shirts to sourdough are ready for shoppers.
