The 100 largest cities were compared by 30 different key metrics, including average gas prices, annual hours in traffic, and auto repair shops per capita.

While the top city wasn’t necessarily the safest, it scored best when all metrics were considered. When considering the safest cities for driving in the US, the only Texas city to make the top 10 was Laredo, which ranked #5.
