Amarillo-Based Convenience Store Named Best Chain in the U.S.

The one thing Amarillo has an abundance of is convenience stores. We are lucky enough to have two locally owned convenience stores that have seen immense growth over the years. However, one of our favorite local convenience stores has just been named the 2026 Convenience Store Chain of the Year.

Each year, CStore Decisions names the best convenience store chain in the country, and this marks the 37th year of the award.

Locally, Toot’n Totum can be a bit polarizing. Some people swear by it, others not so much. But love it or hate it, the numbers don’t lie. The company has been around for more than 75 years and now operates over 125 locations across multiple states.

It may have grown beyond Amarillo, but this is still where it all started.
