Justin Timberlake Starring in Baseball Film With Clint Eastwood
As Justin Timberlake grows older — he turned 31 on Tuesday — it seems he’s seasoning his resume with more established roles, trading in stringed puppet dancing for big time movie parts, like his upcoming baseball flick alongside Clint Eastwood.
In the film, Timberlake will portray Johnny Flanagan, a “former pitcher who now works as a baseball scout for the New York Yankees.” While the ‘N Sync superstar is playing a friend of Eastwood’s in the film, dubbed ‘Trouble With the Curve,’ he will also find love in his buddy’s daughter (Amy Adams).
As Eastwood is much Timberlake’s elder, he’ll play an esteemed baseball agent who is ready to throw in the towel, but decides to take one last road trip with his daughter to test out the talents of a new, young prospect. According to AceShowbiz, the flick is expected to start production next month.
Timberlake has certainly made a name for himself as a movie actor, trading in his boyband card without much issues — especially following his knock-out role in ‘The Social Network.’ In addition to the baseball film, he is also working on a reel called ‘Inside Llewyn Davis.’
‘Trouble With the Curve’ is excepted to impact in Sep. 2012.
