Monopoly is Retiring One of the Iconic Game Pieces

What is this world coming to when a classic board game is changing its iconic game pieces?  The Horror!  Monopoly will be retiring one of their iconic pieces very soon and introducing a new game piece.

We are talking about the thimble, shoe, wheelbarrow, top hat, iron, battleship, car and dog.  Yes the same pieces you fought for as a child and an adult.  One of them will be gone!

I don't know about you but picking out your Monopoly piece meant business and usually caused a huge fight.  I was always the fan of the thimble.

One of these iconic pieces will be replaced by a robot, diamond ring, guitar, cat or helicopter.

The game makers are letting you decide which piece will be saved and which one will be the new piece.
