I mean we all want and need the the luck of the Irish this week. We may need it a little bit more this year. The day is fast approaching. I will remember to wear my green. I don’t want to get pinched! Or maybe I do!

I am a firm believer of corned beef and cabbage on St. Patrick’s Day too. My daughter loves it and looks forward to it every year. Since she has moved away she doesn’t get it every year like she did. I still make it.

I I went to Market Street over the weekend to get my ingredients. Some corned beef, some cabbage, some Guinness Beer to marinate it. Oh I’ll throw in some carrots and potatoes too! We are all a bit Irish on St. Patrick’s Day.

I may even use my Instant Pot this year to make it even easier and in less time.

Maybe you had your plans crushed when Shamrock announced their celebration was cancelled this year. So you have to do something to commemorate it, right?

Green beer? I used to be a fan! I used to love hanging out at Bennigan’s that used to be the place to be.  It was a party...but I was much younger. So now it is much tamer!

Beef O’ Brady’s Is the new place to get Corned Beef and cabbage on that special occasion.

Since I am past the age of partying a good meal will have to suffice. I will make my corned beef. I am so looking forward to it. I will wear my green.

Maybe I will plan on an Irish movie to top off the night. How about “PS I Love You.”  Yes it’s a romantic comedy...but it is in Ireland and it has Gerard Butler for the win.

So maybe I won’t get wild and crazy. Maybe I am showing my age. I will have to be up at 4am on Thursday anyway. So yep I have to be tame. But we all are a little Irish on Wednesday.
