New Casino Coming to the Oklahoma Panhandle in September
Those of us who like to indulge in a little recreational "gaming" from time to time have another option coming up in September. A new casino is going to be opening in the Oklahoma panhandle.
The Golden Mesa Casino is reportedly going to boast over 600 electronic games. I think that means slot machines, video poker, and games like that.
The Golden Mesa Casino will also reportedly host six table games. My bet is on blackjack. There might be a poker table. It's really anyone's guess at this time.
If you're one of the many in Amarillo who make trips to Oklahoma to visit casinos, you know that they all come with a restaurant and will have a space to host entertainment. The Golden Mesa Casino, according to a report, will have shopping and a small diner available.
According to a report from our friends at ABC7, the casino is expected to bring in $36-million annually. It will also reportedly support 175 jobs in the area.
The ribbon cutting for the casino is set for September 12, 2019.
