On the Border Abandoned Building Gets New Tenant

That building at I40 and Soncy that used to house the On the Border restaurant has been abandoned and closed for years. It is truly an eye sore. The area has become a place for the homeless to pretty much take over.

It's time for it to have some new life in the building. There were talks a few weeks ago that there was a newly posted TABC license on the door. Which means that whoever was taking over was applying for a license.

If you are not familiar with a TABC license it is what allows a business to sell alcohol. So you know that any business that was going into that location will be selling alcohol. There was talk years ago that they were going to tear it down and put up a Whataburger. So since they have a license it is for sure not a Whataburger. I think that dream went out the window with Covid issues.

So what is going it to that location? If you are a fan of the concepts and what some people love about Hooters you will be happy. If not. Well this will not be good news to you.

The answer is that Twin Peaks is moving into that location. So you got that going for you. If you have not been to a location. I was told they are like of a log cabin design, at least that one was. The girls are hardly dressed and working the room to serve you food.

This Huge Cabin In Palo Duro Canyon Is Top-Notch Glamping

This cabin is (to us) the definition of "glamorous camping".

This three bedroom rental is tucked away in the Palo Duro Canyon. It's a cabin with serious room, meaning it can fit up to eight guests--a girls trip, family vacation, or any bigger group.

The cabin is available for booking through glampinghub.com and the description along with the provided photos is enough to catch the eye of anyone ready to get out of town and away from it all.....without having to go very far.

It's a beautiful place with woodwork throughout, full amenities, and all the mandatory electornics (and WiFi!). If a group of people were to split the cost of their stay between each other, it is without a doubt one of the most budget-friendly options for vacations.

The four day minimum stay required to make a booking is the only drawback to this diamond in the rough of a rental property--but it's nothing a little planning ahead and vacation time can't remedy.
