Starting Tuesday, Nov. 10, County Judge Nancy Tanner ordered all Potter County buildings to close for two weeks. Although county buildings will be closed, courts will operate virtually and other county offices will still do work either virtually or by appointment.

Judge Tanner said hospitals in the area are "unsustainably stressed" and said that the county will do all it can to mitigate the spread of COVID-19 within Governor Greg Abbott's orders.

She also called infection rates in the area "alarming and dangerous" and urged people in the county to follow all public health guidelines, both from Texas state officials and the Centers for Disease Control.
