Here in Amarillo, Sam's Club is the latest store to offer special operating hours for first responders and healthcare workers. Beginning on Sunday, April 19, Sam's will be offering "Hero Hours" each Sunday from 8am to 10am. During those 2 hours, our local heroes are invited into shop and no membership is required. Normally the stores had reserved those hours for associates.

Sam's Club has also said that heroes and employees will be provided masks, and will practice all social distancing rules. It is so important that we keep those who are already at risk on the front lines as healthy as we can. The idea came about from several stores where associates were inviting healthcare and first responders to shop with them. Normally, Sam's is only open to employees and family on Sunday mornings. The idea took off enough that the main offices decided to implement it across the country until further notice.

In Amarillo, we have 2 Sam's Clubs that will be offering this service. On the west side, Sam's is located behind Home Depot on Soncy. On the east side, the store is on Ross-Osage just south of I-40.
