This is always the hardest time of the year for me.  Time to take down the Christmas tree.  No more looking at the beautiful ornaments or smelling the fresh pine.  But what do you do with your tree?  The City of Amarillo is helping residents to recycle their trees for free!

Santa and his elves are currently getting those last minute Christmas presents made and are going through their checklists to make sure everything is ready to go on Christmas Eve. Santa will be visiting over 5,500 houses per minute on Christmas Eve so he has to be ready and once he takes off with the reindeer on Christmas Eve you can keep track of him.

We are nearing the big day.  The day we wait for all year round.  Christmas!  Every family does something different, but let's face it, we all have our Christmas present traditions.

The Salvation Army is in need of volunteers to help with the distribution of Christmas gifts.

Reindeer aren't the only animals that work it on Christmas.

The cold is coming and there is nothing better than warming up with a nice cup of hot chocolate.

Llano Cemetery is a historic cemetery in Amarillo.  This year they are the only cemetery in Amarillo participating in the national Wreaths Across America Program.

This is the time of year where everyone is getting super busy.  People are leaving town for Christmas vacation.  The kids are getting out of school for break.  Last minute shopping is taking place, and plans for family are taking place.  Last minute food prep, parties and more.  It's a hectic time of year, however, just because we have a hectic life, that doesn't mean that blood still doesn't get

If you have been out to Westgate Mall and have picked an Angel off the Salvation Army Angel Tree please don't forget to return the gifts for that angel.  Each of those Angels represent a child here in the area and if they don't get returned then that child might not get his Christmas wish.

Can you believe we are only 12 days from Christmas.  That means we are only 11 days away from Santa taking off and flying all over the world and delivering toys and presents.  Even though Santa is prepping to deliver toys all over the world, he still has time to stop by and have breakfast.

We are putting together two of the best things that kids love, Santa and Happy Meals.  Come join us for a fun event this Thursday, where the kids can enjoy a yummy Happy Meal and meet Santa at the same time.
