This past weekend saw Netflix breaking with its traditional release strategy, to debut Baz Luhrmann’s The Get Down in the first of multiple installments. That owed to chaotic production, but where Gilmore Girls bosses hoped to release the four Year in the Life revival specials in equal installments, Netflix believes fans “would’ve killed us” to break with tradition.

Yes, yes, our old pal Stay Puft the giant marshmallow man is back in these new TV spots for Paul Feig’s Ghostbusters, but the real delight here is watching Melissa McCarthy fire her proton pack at the crotch of a huge, sinister version of the iconic logo. “How do you like that?!” she shouts, and I think the only response is, "Very much, please continue."

Following their delightful appearance with the original Ghostbusters cast on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, the ladies of Paul Feig’s reboot — along with their dopey receptionist — have assembled in a brand new poster. We don’t yet have a formal premiere date for Netflix’s officially-titled Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life revival, but that hasn’t stopped fan anticipation for catching up with their favorite Stars Hollow characters. And where Melissa McCarthy’s Sookie St. James seemed touch and go for awhile, a first photo of McCarthy back in costume has arrived.

Aside from having a great title, Can You Ever Forgive Me? has been attracting some truly great talent. Enough Said director Nicole Holofcener was originally attached to helm the true-life drama with Julianne Moore set to play the leading role, and while they both dropped out, they’ve been replaced by equally exciting names: Melissa McCarthy and The Diary of a Teenage Girl director Marielle Heller.
