Why do Texans keep such odd things in their junk drawer?

Personally, the best part for me is that it sounds like it will be fairly quick. Show up, drive through, and then head home for dinner.

I suppose this is an opportunity to skip out on the insanity and have brunch with the jolly ole elf, himself.

The Wine Down and Dessert Wars was a fun success.  We had such a great time enjoying all the delicious wines and the decadent desserts, not to mention the other great food that was at the event.  If you missed this year's event, make sure you mark your calendars for next year, as it will be bigger and better.  Check out all the winners and some fun pictures from last nights event.

So we finally made it, we made it to back to school. Our kids are starting the 2015-2016 school year.  It seems that the kick off to the school year has been great. Some kids were excited, some didn't want the summer to end, and some wanted both, but alas it was time to get back into the school routine.   So with the start of school it is time to see those really awesome back to school pictures. High school yearbook photos are as much a part of teenage life as proms and getting a driver's license. This girl, though, decided to mix it up.

The Kentucky Derby took place on Saturday.  It's an amazing horse race, where the winner of the derby was American Pharaoh.  However, the real star of the Kentucky Derby is the amazing hats that everyone wears to the event.
