Drew Barrymore plays one of the most memorable roles in Scream, in the frightening opening sequence. But, did you know Barrymore was originally set to play the Neve Campbell role? A scheduling conflict forced her to back out, leaving only enough room for that classic prologue. It's been a few months since we've heard anything about MTV's forthcoming 'Scream' TV series pilot, which last we heard horror master Wes Craven was in negotiations to direct. Now, MTV has officially announced that the Kevin Williamson-free adaptation of the classic meta horror tale has finally found its writers, and may soon begin pre-production toward its debut next year.

Back in the 90's Wes Craven brought the horror movie back to life with Scream.  With the popularity of Scream it spawned 2 sequels. Now Wes Craven is back with a Scream Reboot
