(Note: We humbly request that you accept this article as a tongue-in-cheek commentary on the housing market. There are more lovely homes under $200k out on the market. Just not as many as before...)

In case you didn't already know: The housing market lately has been wild.

Buying a house right now is not for those who are poor, indecisive, or faint of heart. I've read countless stories of homes being snatched up within seconds of hitting the market. More than one person has given me a dizzying story of missed offers and frantic realtors scrambling to find houses not under contract.

Look, I even put on the ol' research gloves and did a little poking around....Amarillo alone has seen a hefty increase in housing prices. A recent report done on the Amarillo housing market states:

"Both Average and Median single-family home prices reached new highs during the first nine months of 2021. Average single-family home prices are up 11.90% to $246,322. Median single-family home prices are up 14.36% to $215,000.

And that's just on paper.

The reality is that if you're a house hunter who is between ages 20-35, have a credit score of 'eh' to 'Perfect Adult' and just so happen to be alive as an adult in the year 2021....you know that it's Bizzaroland out there.

It's to the point where if you find a house that fits your specs and is within your budget, your next thought is "it's a trap" or "what's wrong with it?"

But what if.....

Yes....what if I told you that I found it? "It" being: the last nice home under $200k in Amarillo that's up for sale?

Good neighborhood. Three bedrooms. Two bathrooms. A garage. An actual backyard. And.....it's absolutely adorable.

It does exist. And I've got pictures to prove it.

It's an impossibly cute home that's listed by Annie Miller with M Group and I'm in love. Take a look! It'll go quick, I can tell you that much.
