Being a kid in Amarillo is just great. I mean all of the places that cater to making sure they have fun is great. I have spent the past few years being introduced to all the fun places for a toddler.
Back in early March, Crazy Larry's Barbecue had a fire here in Amarillo. The fire started after the business was closed for the day. That was March 11th and since then they have been closed. The business on Teckla has been dark.
There are things with having Pantex in our backyard near Amarillo that should have us a little worried. I mean we can live our lives not knowing certain things in life that happen but really are we better off? Is ignorance bliss?
When Amarillo notices a new business going up we start talking. We wonder what it is. We wonder when it is going to open. We look to get our answers. When this new business started going up at I40 and Coulter it really got us wondering WTF it was.

It seems like 2024 has been the year of closed businesses in Amarillo. This is not the kind of thing we want to see. There have been restaurants that have quickly closed their doors. Oh, and there have been stores as well. What is going on this year?
Amarillo has had a lot of successful Joe's in the area. I am not talking about people named Joe. No, I mean there is Macaroni Joe's that has been around for as long as I can remember. If that wasn't enough we had the addition of Joe Taco.
When we head out for Fourth of July celebrations in the Texas Panhandle we have come to expect fireworks. We light off all of the arsenals that we can. We look up to the sky to enjoy the show of others. There never seems to be a lack of lights and noises in the sky to entertain us.
Once upon a time in Amarillo, we had three La Bella Pizza's. Then one location on Olsen broke away, changed its name, and went out on its own. So we were down to just two. There is also one in Canyon but Amarillo was down to two.
In a world where streaming seems to be the way of the world, this can't come as too much of a surprise. The Redbox Kiosks are all going away. Just like the Hastings went away. Just like the Blockbusters went away. Just like Netflix's DVD service went away. Now it is Redbox's turn.
