Two different children on two separate occasions were shot this weekend in Amarillo.

This Saturday, March 28th is the annual Scouting for Food.  Boy Scout Troops throughout Amarillo will be picking up non-perishable food items from your doorstep or mailbox this Saturday.

Looking for something fun and amazing for the kids to do on Spring Break?  Well what if I told you that they could hang out with lions and lemurs, tigers and bears, would you be interested?  Well they can, it's Spring Break at the Amarillo Zoo.

Your younger kids can now enjoy learning about animals and the outdoors in their very own special club.  The Amarillo Zoo presents the Lil Wild Ones Nature Club.  The club is open to children ages 6-8 years old.

Four people were arrested and face felony charges after having a 6-year old boy kidnapped to teach him a lesson about being "too nice" to people.  The boy's aunt asked a co-worker to kidnap her nephew.

Three children ages 7, 3, and 11 months were found abandoned in house in Lake Stevens, Washington.  It was a debt collector who notified police after several visits to the home where he only spoke to the 7-year old.  The children were padlocked inside the house.

Dr. Justin Puckett, a family doctor, packed his daughters lunch for school.  The lunch was made up of ham slices, pickles, 4 marshmallows, and a small piece of dark chocolate.  Is this the most healthy lunch, probably not, but is it the schools business what a parent sends for their child to eat?  Apparently, a cafeteria worker and one teacher thought it wasn't appropriate and sent a letter home.

As a mother of a 9-year old, I have had s to plan 9 parties and I  have attended many birthday parties.  Over the years, I have researched the birthday party scene and the following are my picks for the best places to have your kids birthday party.

All I have to say, is yes we live in a world of too much information and having everything caught on video.  This is one example, but it was just too cute not to share.  A 3-year old is talking about eating to much while he is on the toilet.  Don't worry it's not graphic, her parents caught it all through the door.
