This theater is definitely haunted, guys. Like, for sure.

A lot of people are Netflix and chilling, I guess.

Hoping to compete with MoviePass, the theater chain will over a $9 a month plan that gives customers one ticket, but other discounts and perks.

It’s a story fit for a mediocre rom-com: A 37-year-old man from Austin, Texas is suing a woman for texting during a screening of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. And not just some random stranger, either — she was his date. In what he describes as “a first date from hell,” the woman allegedly refused to put her phone away and continued to text until he finally suggested she take the conversation outside. She did just that, taking her phone out of the theater, through the lobby, and out to the parking lot, where she drove off and left her date without a ride home.

There is nothing like sitting out in the gorgeous night sky enjoying a movie.  The time is once again approaching, Tascosa Drive In is gearing up to up for the season.

Last month, I tried out the new 4DX theater at the Regal Cinemas in Manhattan’s Union Square. Seating in the theater is assigned and it was a packed house; by the time I bought my ticket, my only choice was in a solo seat wedged between two other parties. To my left, was a couple in their 30s. To my right, was a guy who looked to be in his early 20s. When the movie started, he took out his cell phone and began taking pictures of the screen. He snapped a photo of the title card; of Superman’s first appearance; of the debut of the new Batmobile.

This weekend we get a remake of a '70s horror classic, Arnold and Stallone finally punching and shooting things together onscreen ('80s action-movie fans, rejoice!) and a based-on-true-events political thriller about that creepy-looking Wikileaks guy.

With much of the country in the middle of a nasty heat wave, the air-conditioned comfort of a cineplex might be just what you need — and the two flicks opening in wide release this weekend will keep both adults and kids happy.

If you aren’t too busy tailgating now that football is back, you might want to check out one of the new movies opening up this weekend.

Three new movies will be added to theaters this Friday, offering everything from cowboys and aliens to the Smurfs in 3-D. The first is the Jon Favreau-directed ‘Cowboys & Aliens,’ in which Daniel Craig and Harrison Ford team to fight off – you guessed it – an alien-invasion in 1873 Arizona.

It looks like it is going to be a great weekend at the box office.  We have two family friendly movies.  One for the older kids in the family and one for the younger.
