2024 Already Going To Be A Busy Year With Amarillo Events.

I don't know that I've ever noticed this happen before. As we really just start making our way into August of 2023, there are already big plans being made for 2024. Maybe this happens all the time and I'm just now noticing, or next year is going to be a busy one.

Announcements Being Made On Social Media For Amarillo Events

I was scrolling through my social media feed earlier today and was shocked when I saw multiple announcements regarding events coming up in 2024. Do we usually see announcements this early?

Whether it's a convention or a festival, there's information already being put out into the ether.

Honestly, I'm excited to get started on my calendar for next year.

AMA-CON 2024 Date Announced

The Facebook page for AMA-CON updated the cover photo, and guess what it was of? Their dates for next year.

Put August 3 and 4 on your calendar for 2024.

This was the first year I've ever gone to AMA-CON, and I have to admit I enjoyed myself thoroughly. My kids even had a great time.

Geek Prom was a huge hit in my house.

Yellow City Comic Convention

YC3, or Yellow City Comic Convention, is another of the area's big "fandom" conventions. Like AMA-CON, they have a lot to cater to pretty much anything that you geek out over.

The dates for 2024, according to their website, are April 19-21. In case you're wondering, that's a Friday through Sunday event.

Route 66 Fest Is Back In Amarillo In 2024

The Route 66 Festival was a big success this year in Amarillo. At least it felt like one.

Over several days at the start of June, there were events held all over the city, and the Texas panhandle, honoring the Mother Road. Not even the rain could put a stop to the good times.

The final day, and massive celebration on 6th, was an absolute blast and I'm looking forward to next year.

Today, I came across this post from Visit Amarillo...

June 6-15 will see the return of the massive festival to Amarillo.

That's a lot to put on your calendar, especially considering we're just in August. Next year is going to be a busy one in Yellow City.
