5 Movies To Spice Up Valentine's Night

Valentine's Day night is the perfect time rekindle the fires of romance. If you're going to watch a movie for inspiration, there some some tried and true films stand the test of time for Cupid. & Co.

5. The Quiet Man- You might not think of John Wayne as a romantic lead, but he and Maureen O'Hara are the couple, you just know should be together. When O'Hara starts to give Duke "the business" Wayne knows just how to handle her anyway — whip her around into an impassioned embrace and kiss her good and hard.

4. From Here To Eternity- The one scene everyone remembers, is Burt Lancaster kissing Deborah Kerr in the Hawaiian surf. If you ever go to Hawaii, you can go to the exact spot, the scene was shot. 3. Lady & The Tramp- Yes, a cartoon. It was iconic on arrival, that accidental spaghetti kiss by serenaded moonlight. C'mon...you can tell us. You've tried to recreate this scene yourself. It's never gets old. Lady, swooning for Tramp, a stray mutt from the wrong side of the tracks. Essential for dog lovers and romantics alike.

2. Gone With The Wind- It's a classic about a lot of things like slavery and civil war. It's also the movie that certified Clark Gable as one of the silver screen's most reliable leading men. Gable as Rhett Butler tells Vivian Leigh's Scarlet O'Hara "No, I don't think I will kiss you, although you need kissing, badly. That's what's wrong with you. You should be kissed and often, and by someone who knows how." He does kiss her and she slaps him. Hard! But it was worth it.

1 Casablanca- Has there ever been a more star-crossed romance, more intense than Rick & Ilsa's? You try rekindling a romance with Nazis in town. Oh sure, Ilsa's husband is in town, trying to escape before the bad guys find him. But she wants Rick. And Rick wants her. They find the fireworks they once shared and Rick loves Ilsa very much. To keep the Nazi's from catching her, he puts her on a plane with her husband and loses her forever. Here's looking at you kid.
