Revenge Or Spread Love: Amarillo Zoo’s Unique Valentine’s Day Celebration
Valentine's Day can be a rough one for a lot of people. Not everyone has that "someone special" to celebrate with. For some, they don't have a reason to spend their hard-earned cash on some tangible representation of their undying affection. That doesn't mean, however, that they're completely left out. In Amarillo, there is a way you can celebrate and use it as a nice way of sticking it to your ex.
How To Get Back At Your Ex In Amarillo For Valentine's Day
The Amarillo Zoo is back for another year of giving you the perfect way to get back at your ex this Valentine's Day. If your ex makes your skin crawl, you've got a chance to drive the point home. You'll even get a nice little digital card, and it won't break the bank to participate.

They're having their "Love Bites" event, and it lasts through February 15th. For $2 you can "roach your ex". Basically, you get the chance to name a roach at the zoo after your ex, and that roach will more than likely become dinner for something a little higher up on the food chain, or being part of an exhibit.
It sounds like the cheapest form of therapy I've ever heard of.
You Can Also Adopt A Love Bug For Valentine's Day
Let's say that you don't have some cringe-inducing "used to be" haunting your quiet moments. What if you've found that person who lights up your world and makes you smile every time you think of them? You can celebrate too.
The Amarillo Zoo will let you adopt a "Love Bug" this year. It's $2 and you can use your adopted "Love Bug" as a way to honor someone you love or admire. The "Love Bug" also happens to be a roach. The jaded and broken aren't the only ones who get to have fun.
You'll get a digital certificate, and the roach will become a part of Amarillo Zoo's ecosystem, either hanging out in an exhibit or helping life continue as a snack for one of the animals in the zoo.
You Can Even Feed The Love At The Amarillo Zoo This Year
Maybe the roach thing isn't for you, but you still want to have some Valentine's Day-themed fun with the zoo. They do have their "Feed The Love" experience. For $10 you can sponsor a Valentine's Day snack for one of the animals and get a video of the animal scarfing it down.
Of course, the money raised goes to help out the Amarillo Zoo. It's a great cause, it won't break the bank, and it's a lot of fun. Here's the link for more information.
