It’s hard to run a restaurant here. We have so many to choose from. Like any city we have local places and chain restaurants so it makes it really tough to be local.

Embers announced on Facebook that they will be closing their doors towards the end of this month.

A special message from Chad, Owner, and Chef at Embers:

After eight years of food and fun, I wanted to let our customers know that Embers be closing our doors soon, our last day will be April 20. Our customers are the best, and I can't thank you enough for all of your support. I would also like to thank all the members of our team who have worked so hard to make Embers one of the best dining experiences in the Panhandle. Running a restaurant is hard work, and as the restaurant scene in Amarillo continues to evolve, I feel that it's time for another adventure, although I have no idea what that is at this time. I do know that I am really looking forward to spending more time with Jennifer, other family members, and friends--something I haven't been able to do much of while pouring my heart into Embers, our team, and customers.

I hope you'll all come in and enjoy one last meal with us. We'd love to see you one last time.

They had some of the best steaks in town. I, personally loved their prime rib
Embers was a place you could go on a date night or with a work group.

Their food was always good and seemed to always be busy at dinner. I would drive by a lot and see people park at the bar across the street to then walk to Embers.

Their parking lot seemed to always be full.

It’s sad to see another local place that I have been to several times close.
