Best Shopping Apps for Black Friday

With Black Friday looming over us like 'The Perfect Storm,' it reminds me of people lining up at the starting gate for the Boston Marathon. We all get to the starting line and await the gun to fire to signal the start of the race, as we search for the 'best deals of the season.'

With so many stores opening at various times and different deals, for some of the same items, at multitple locations it can be an overwhelming choice on where to go to get the best deal.

Luckily, we can have a 'friend' with us to help guide us through the shopping minefield known as 'Black Friday.'
Here are a few suggested apps that you can arm your smartphone with to help make your shopping experience stress free.

Shop Savvy

You will get submerged with big, bright stickers claiming 30% off, 40% off and 50% off. But with this handy app in your arsenal all you will need to do is scan the barcode and you will be treated to a selection of all the stores in the area that a) sell this item and b) the prices they are selling it for. And the best thing about this app is it is FREE. You can download this for your Andriod or iPhone.

TGI Black Friday

Another free app for your Andriod or iPhone. This little app will show you the latest and most popular deals. You can also get a list of what time the stores open and browse by categories. If you are like me and like to make lists, then this app is the one for you.

Slick Deals App

There is no 'official' app for this, but you can find a third-party app that will keep you updated on all the deals as you make your way through your shopping adventure. This is a real-time feed that will keep 'in the loop' on the most up-to-date deals. iSlick for your iPhone will cost you $1, but SlickDeals Reader for Andriod is free.

Decide.com (iPhone Only)

If you have someone of your Christmas list who is wanting electronics, then you need to be armed with this app. Not only will it let you know the store and online price, but will also let you know whether you should by it now or wait for a newer model or a lower price. This is another free app, but sadly is only available for the iPhone.
