With recent headlines regarding cannabis legalization in New Mexico, and legislation moving forward at the nation's capital, you have to admit we live in very interesting times. I honestly never thought I'd see what we're seeing.
That includes a festival in Amarillo aimed at ending the stigma surrounding cannabis and CBD, while also offering up a lot of family fun.
That's Right. The Festival Is Fun For The Whole Family.
The festival, 420 Burnout 2022, is a two day long fest at Mariposa Eco-Village. There will be activities for all ages. There will be vendors, live music, DJs, artists, and all kinds of events.

What Makes This A Very Special Kind Of Festival For The Amarillo Area
While it feels like the rest of the country is leaving Texas in the dust when it comes to cannabis legislation, it is nice to see something like this take place. Especially in the way that it is being planned.
While everyone wants to go out and have a good time, which there will be plenty of opportunities for, it's also a chance to learn. A lot has changed over the past several decades, especially when it comes to what is legal and what isn't.
Of Course, There Are Rules That Must Be Followed
They're pretty basic, to be honest. No weapons. No bringing in anything that is illegal in the state of Texas. In fact, there will be "Texas legal" products there, and plenty of information.
Everyone will need to show ID. There will be a bag check. All pretty standard stuff.
The point, is that not only is it going to be a lot of fun for the family, it's going to be safe. Security at the event is being taken very, very seriously.
There's A Monster List Of Vendors That Will Be There
Aside from all of the entertainment, there will be vendors of all types there. There's also going to be a lot of food trucks present.
