Covid Cases Close Maverick Boys & Girls Club Until August

Just when we really were hoping to be putting the term Covid behind us this happens. OK I know I am living in a dream world and that word would not be leaving our vocabulary any time soon. I know this word is sticking around. We can hope anyway but here we are with another closing due to Covid.

News came out yesterday that the Maverick Boys and Girls Club was going to have to shut down for a few weeks. They will be closed until August 4th. This during a time when a lot of kids count on them for summer activities. The reason is Covid Cases. There have been multiple cases in the club. While closed the staff will be cleaning and sanitizing the building before they reopen in August.

They are recommending that anyone with any symptoms of Covid to go and get tested. While the club is closing down they are not going to be able to refund any money paid for membership dues while they are closed. The reason being that the money has already been spent.

If you have been to the Maverick Boys & Girls Club recently or have been in contact with anyone who has remember to keep an eye out for symptoms. They can range from a fever over 100. You may experience chills. Keep an eye out for loss of taste or smell. Your throat could start to hurt and you could develop a cough. If you develop any signs it's best to get tested. It's always better to be safe than sorry.

Which is exactly what the Maverick Boy & Girls Club is doing. They are being safe to avoid anyone else getting sick.
