I had a dilemma. I was about to go out of town for a few days but wanted to make sure my dogs were fed. There are some people who can leave enough food out and they would be OK. Not me I have a plump dog and a very skinny one.

I always joke that you can tell who eats all the food. I started putting them on a strict diet. Where they eat at the same time so the fat one can't eat it all. I will just call her Chipper. The skinny one, Cinnamon, needed to have food too.

Last time I hired someone to come by and feed them while I as gone out of town. I could do that again but I thought maybe I could find a solution that would save me money in the long run.

I have a detached garage and have a setup where they can escape the weather and go in a nice warm kennel by way of doggy door.

So if the weather got cold they could stay warm. The feeding was my concern. I got on Amazon and found first a cheaper feeder but my dogs were too smart and got right into it. So I returned it.

What I found not only would feed the dogs up to 4 times a day. It kept the food secure so the dogs couldn't eat extra (yes poor Chipper) but the best thing is I could record my voice to call them when it was time to eat.
