I Found A Jungle in My Backyard

I don't go in my backyard very often.  I just don't.  However, the other day I looked out the back window trying to find the cat and then there it was before me, the jungle.  Now it wasn't a jungle of overgrown grass.  It was a jungle of weeds.

As you probably know by now, I'm a single woman and a single momma and I have a house with a big backyard.  I absolutely hate yard work.  I have never been good at yard work.  Don't get me wrong I don't mind getting a flower bed ready and planting flowers or taking care of my roses.  I hate mowing, weed eating and taking care of a yard.  My poor yards are horrible and I'm not sure how to fix it.

Yes, I could call in a professional but that costs a lot of money and again, single momma here, one income family.

So I just grin and bear the fact that I have to take care of my lawn and I do the best I can.

So I got out in the yard on Tuesday afternoon and fought the jungle.  It was horrible, but I managed to take it down.

Now I would have sprayed the yard to kill the weeds, but the wind was blowing and Wednesday they wind tried to make the swing set take sail, so that wasn't an option either.  So I guess I have to hope for a quiet day this weekend.
