Is Amarillo a Safe City?

Amarillo is a good city to live in and raise a family, but is it a safe city. It used to be some what of a safe city, but lately, it seems that it is getting worse and worse.

It's not uncommon to open up your email or social media to hear another person was shot or another store was robbed. It's crazy. Did you know that Amarillo had the highest reported cases of rape in the state in 2015 according to the FBI? Earlier in the year, the FBI also named Amarillo in the top 10 dangerous cities in Texas.

WalletHub did another survey and this one consisted of the safest cities in America.

Amarillo was 100 out of 182. That's really not good.
Lubbock made the list at 92. Which means it is considered more safe than Amarillo.
Plano is the safest city in Texas. Brownsville was the second safest city in Texas.
El Paso and Laredo are also safer than Amarillo.

This just seems crazy.
