Watch a firsthand account of a hotel in Oklahoma taking a direct hit from a tornado.

In what had to be the longest two minutes in their lives, employees quickly scrambled inside when they realized they were caught in a tornado.

It’s wild because shortly after they get back inside the hotel, everything gets calm outside. That’s when they realize they’re inside the tornado.

A few seconds later you can hear the wind start to pick up again, causing power flashes. The clip abruptly ends shortly after. Fortunately, no one appears to be injured in the video.

Admittedly, I would have been right there with them. I’m one of those people who feels the need to go outside and take a look at the sky when the tornado sirens go off.

I also would have been right there with them when they hightailed it back inside once they realized they were in it.

I don’t know about you, but I’m experiencing extreme storm fatigue. This has been one of the most active storm seasons I can remember, and we still have a way to go.

However, it does appear those of us in North Texas will get a break this week. But it won’t last long if the forecast holds up.

As of this posting, there are scattered thunderstorms forecasted for next Monday and Tuesday (May 13 and 14). This is one of those times when I hope the weather experts get it wrong. We’ve had enough for one year in this neck of the woods.
