Amarillo Finally Getting Golden Opportunity For Chicken

The one thing we can say about Amarillo is that we love our food. Drive up and down pretty much any main street in our city and you will find evidence of that. So when some place new opens up we rejoice.

We have been waiting for the Golden Chick at 34th and Georgia to open up for some time now. We were even tricked into believing that they were going to open up in early January of this year. That is what their Google listing said anyway.

It was not true. Then we noticed the banner waving proudly just a couple weeks ago letting us know that they were training. They would be open soon. Oh, and every time I drove by I watched their parking lot.

I saw cars in the lot. They were training. It was going to be soon. I just knew it. Then I saw an announcement on a group page on Facebook. Finally, the good news we have been waiting for:

So that post was first seen last night. So guess what that means? They are officially open as of today. Our second location in Amarillo is finally open. This adds to the one we have at 6020 Coulter.

I have said it before and I will repeat it, we can never have too many chicken places here in Amarillo. So welcome to the neighborhood Golden Chick.
