I feel like Amarillo is obsessed with food. Do you feel it too? We get word about a new place coming or somewhere that is closing it becomes a lot of talk in our area. We have had a lot of great places to eat come and go over the years.

A New Chapter for 10th and Madison

We still love it when we hear chatter of a new place opening. We found out recently that the area that used to house Budnuts at the corner of 10th and Madison is getting new life.

The Menu: Burritos, Gorditas, and More

Last time we visited it, we were able to get yummy mini donuts. That corner has been waiting for a new spark since Budnuts closed its doors a few years back. The wait, it seems, is over, as recently we found out who is moving in.

Why Drive-Thru Tex-Mex is a Win for Downtown

So if you work in downtown Amarillo or just need a new place to try, it looks like Miguelito's will be just the place. It will be a drive-thru, so breakfast or lunch will be ready for you, and you can get back on the road to home or work.

The Salsa Standard: Judging a New Opening

I’m looking forward to the breakfast burritos and salsa, the ultimate litmus test for any new Tex-Mex joint. My granddaughter will be all about the quesadillas, so with this being in our neighborhood, we will be watching for them to open.
No word on an actual opening date, just the words 'coming soon'.
