Spotted In Amarillo: Taylor Swift and Travis Something
They've taken the world by storm. Everyone is talking about the newest power couple. He goes to work, and she follows him wherever he's catching footballs.
TV ratings have skyrocketed for games she attends, and cities are seeing an influx of visitors trying to catch a glimpse of her.
Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are ALL anyone wants to talk about. Of course, we only seem to see them when he's got a game, and they're always in separate places. I mean, he is down on the field working. She just hangs out in a suite with friends and family of Travis while consuming some pink-looking drink.
The real question is, what do they do in their off time? Do they get a chance to hang out with one another and do touristy kind of stuff? They sure do! And wouldn't ya know it, Amarillo and the Texas Panhandle were graced by their presence. Let's see what they were up to!
WELCOME TO AMARILLO!
Of course, the first picture that had to be taken by Tayvis was at the Amarillo sign. It's iconic...well, to us at least. They knew that, so they made sure to stop.
ARE THESE LONGER THAN TAYLOR'S LEGS?
The power couple had heard about the giant legs here, and they just HAD to see if they were actually longer than Taylor's stems. Well, they confirmed that indeed Taylor has short legs compared to these.
CHECKING TO SEE IF THEY CAN TIGHTEN TRAVIS' SCREWS
Hey, playing football is rough. Travis has been hit thousands of times, so the pair figured they'd stop by Amarillo Hardware and see if they could get those screws tightened up. Unfortunately, they found out after they got there it wasn't quite what they were looking for.
WANNA GO TO A HAUNTED HOUSE?
Something tells me this isn't what they were thinking it was. It's October after all and they'd heard about this haunted place called the Herring Hotel. They marveled at its beauty but realized there was no maze to go through with people jumping out at them.
BECAUSE YOU GOTTA EAT, RIGHT?
After traveling around town a bit, Tayvis decided it was time to sit down and grab some grub. They knew all about The Big Texan, so they figured they'd create a commotion there and try it out. No word on how many 72 oz. steaks Travis consumed.
A LITTLE BIT OF EVENING FUN
Once the steaks were consumed, the couple traveled up I-40 to check out the most iconic stop in Amarillo. Luckily for them, no one was around so they could spray paint their hearts out, and not have to worry about anyone else getting in their way.
LET'S GO SHOPPING!
After waking up for day two, Tayvis decided they needed to hit Westgate Mall and see what it was all about. They must've slipped out the back door after wrapping up because no one saw how many different bags they came out with.
ANY GAMES GOING ON?
Once they left the mall, they hopped on I-27 and made their way to Canyon. They'd heard about the small-town charm and Taylor was ALL about checking it out. However, once Travis spotted the First United Bank Center, his love of sports got the better of him. Unfortunately, there were no games on this particular day.
HEY, I'M READY TO PLAY!
While they were at the arena, Travis could see football stadium lights in the distance. He talked Taylor into going to check it out. After a quick wardrobe change, Travis was back in his element. Coach Josh Lynn heard the primal scream from his office and immediately came out in recruiting mode. Sadly, Travis has exhausted all his college eligibility.
TIME FOR A NATURE WALK
Once Travis got the sports out of his system, they finally reached their intended destination of Palo Duro Canyon. Tayvis decided to find a nice trail to walk hand in hand and snapped this picture of the canyon in the background.
WANNA GRAB SOME LUNCH?
Travis had heard SO MUCH chatter about Long John Silver's in Amarillo that he began to crave it. Then he found out there wasn't one here. He wanted it so bad he and Taylor made the drive to Lubbock so he could get his crunchy fix in.
BEEF, IT'S WHAT'S FOR DINNER
Let's not forget, that Travis is an athlete, so he burns calories faster than we do. As they were making their way through the Texas Panhandle, they stumbled upon Hereford and their iconic welcome sign. Trav had to take a picture, and Taylor just went along with it.
LET'S CATCH A MOVIE OR TWO
Taylor was tired of being in the car, so they decided to stop in Dumas to kick their feet up and relax a bit. Always one for vintage, the Evelyn Theatre caught Taylor's eye. They got all dressed up to take in a couple of movies, even though it looked like it was throwback night at the Evelyn.
