We have had a rough past year or so. In life things have been maybe not the easiest. As we are now getting back to a bit of a normal life. We are getting to go out and do fun stuff again and that makes us happy.
We take our family for a family outing to Palo Duro Canyon. The weather is nice. We have plenty of water and sunscreen. We are prepared. It seems like we spend a lot of time making sure we get a great photo to put on social media.
When I was in high school in good ol' Canyon, Texas, one of the most sought after jobs was heading to Palo Duro Canyon and working for TEXAS Outdoor Musical Drama. A lot of my friends worked out in the Canyon.
I spend a lot of time scrolling through Facebook. I also spend a lot of time scrolling through news sites too. It comes with the job and I want to be in-the-know of what is happening around Amarillo.
We have just come off of a banner year. I mean that pretty sarcastically. The year 2020 ended up being nothing like we expected when we rung in the New Year. We never thought a pandemic was going to hit.
Can we just admit the constant cancelling of things we loved to do in 2020 was really pretty depressing. But that was so last year, correct? So in 2021 plans are being made. One of the plans is to have the Musical Drama Texas back and better than ever in Palo Duro Canyon.
So some weeks are just worse than others. Some days we can deal with the stress and sometimes we just need to walk away a bit and recharge. It is always good to deal with stress head on. I mean you don't want to bottle it up because at some point you will just explode. Nobody needs that.
Are you one of those that getting outside just makes you feel so much better? Oh I certainly am. The sunshine on my face. The wind blowing through my hair. Oh even if it is our gusty Texas Panhandle "breeze". You know what I am talking about.
