Last year, camps were hit or miss. Some canceled. Others adjusted the number of kids that could be registered. This year, it looks like "camp" is back on.

If you're going to be looking for ways to keep the kids busy this summer in Amarillo, check these out.

This camp is for kids ages 15 and under. Kids 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult. At the camp, kids will learn the basics of fishing. It is a catch and release camp. Poles, tackle, and bait are all provided for the kids.

Spots are limited, and some dates are already full. This is a free camp, so if you want to get your kid signed up you better do it quick. Here is the link for the sign up page.

Afternoon Adventures Club

The Amarillo Afternoon Adventures Club is being put on by Amarillo Parks & Rec. It's all summer long and takes place at parks all over town. They will hosting the Adventures Club at San Jacinto Park, Hamlet Park, Glenwood Park, and Memorial Park.

On the sign up page, the ages listed are 5 to 14, and lasts from 1:30 PM until 5 PM. They are planning on having sports, arts and crafts, and other activities planned.

There is no fee for signing up, so I imagine spaces will fill up fast. You can find the sign up form at this link.

It starts in June.

Summer Camp At Warford

The Warford Activity Center is having their summer camp for kids ages 5 to 13. They're calling it "Larger Than Life Camp." There's going to be oversized games, sports, swimming, inflatables, and more activities planned for the kids.

This camp runs from 1:30 PM until 6 PM. This one does cost to attend.

For members, it will cost $60 per week. For non-members, the cost is $80 per week to attend the camp.

They do mention that there is limited space (the sign up page shows 40 spots available at the time of this writing), so signing up sooner rather than later is encouraged. You can find all of the info by following this link.

This Huge Cabin In Palo Duro Canyon Is Top-Notch Glamping

This cabin is (to us) the definition of "glamorous camping".

This three bedroom rental is tucked away in the Palo Duro Canyon. It's a cabin with serious room, meaning it can fit up to eight guests--a girls trip, family vacation, or any bigger group.

The cabin is available for booking through glampinghub.com and the description along with the provided photos is enough to catch the eye of anyone ready to get out of town and away from it all.....without having to go very far.

It's a beautiful place with woodwork throughout, full amenities, and all the mandatory electornics (and WiFi!). If a group of people were to split the cost of their stay between each other, it is without a doubt one of the most budget-friendly options for vacations.

The four day minimum stay required to make a booking is the only drawback to this diamond in the rough of a rental property--but it's nothing a little planning ahead and vacation time can't remedy.

Here's Some Of The Exotic Animals You Can Own In Texas

Shockingly, Texans can legally own these exotic animals--provided you've filled out the massive amounts of paperwork required.
