Take a Historical Twilight Tour of Amarillo’s Llano Cemetery
Did you know that Llano Cemetery is on the National Register of Historic Places, and is considered a Historic District? If you have always been curious about one of the oldest cemeteries in Amarillo, then here's your chance to learn all about the history of Llano Cemetery.
The Legends & Legacies tour has become a popular event at the cemetery. Attendees can enjoy a hay ride through the cemetery that is guided by cemetery experts, or you can venture out on your own for a self guided tour.
The tours will be on Saturday, October 20th and will begin at 3pm and the event ends at 7pm.
The event is free and open to the public. Not only will you be able to enjoy the tours, but other fun activities as well including face painting, snow cones, food trucks and more. Please not that although the event is free to get into, the vendors may charge a fee for their products or services.
The cemetery is located at 2900 S. Hayes, but please enter via 27th Street Gates, as all other gates will be closed.
